Then working up grade at Helmsteaders Curve. The final clip is off a overhead bridge while the Pacific is working hard uphill to Frostburg. At Frostburg, we watch the locomotive being turned on the turntable for its return trip to Cumberland. The CP G5 (1200-1271) Pacific where built by Montreal Locomotive works from 1944-1947. There where a total of 498 G class locomotives, and the G1 was first built in 1906.
